Onboarding

What the 7-step wizard asks for, what you can skip, where to change everything later.

When you first sign in to omnix.co.ke after activating your trial or buying a licence, Omnix runs a 7-step onboarding wizard. It captures the minimum needed to issue your licence, set your currency, and start your trial.

What it asks

1. Business name (required) — what shows on receipts, invoices, customer display. 2. Country — picks your currency default. Defaults to Kenya. 3. Currency — auto-fills from country. Three-letter ISO code. 4. Team size (optional, skippable) — used for analytics + recommending the right tier. 5. Phone (required) — for licence-key SMS and critical alerts. 6. KRA PIN / tax ID (optional, skippable) — required for KRA eTIMS sale signing later, but not at onboarding time. 7. Variant (required) — which module you'll use first. Pick Dawa, Retail, Hardware, Hospitality, or Pro.

Steps 4 and 6 have a "Skip for now" button. You can fill them in later from Settings → Profile or your dashboard.

What happens next

After step 7, Omnix: - Saves your profile to the user record - Sends you back to /dashboard with the variant pre-selected - Starts a 30-day trial of the chosen variant - Emails you a licence key to activate the desktop install

Where to change things later

  • Business name + phone + country + currency: /dashboard/profile
  • KRA PIN + team size + addresses: /dashboard/profile (under "Compliance + extras")
  • Variant: you can run more than one. /dashboard → "Add a trial of another variant"
